We started NiveshLens because Indian mutual-fund analytics deserved better.
An analytics and diagnostics layer for serious investors — built on the same public AMFI/NAV data the industry uses, but freed from the broker-commission incentive that shapes everything else you read. We help you understand your funds with data; we don't tell you what to buy.
I built NiveshLens independently, from Ahmedabad, after watching well-meaning investors — my own family included — make portfolio decisions on the back of one-year rankings and star ratings. The numbers were always public. The honest interpretation was always missing, buried under distributor incentives.
NiveshLens is the tool I wished existed for my own portfolio: a single, daily-refreshed percentile for every scheme; a clear label — strong, steady, slipping, weak; a look-through into the real stocks you own across your funds; and an AI you can actually ask questions in plain English. No tickers I haven’t verified, no funds I’ve been paid to mention. We describe; we don’t recommend.
It’s an independent analytics product, not a distributor and not an adviser. NiveshLens is not registered with SEBI as an Investment Adviser or Research Analyst, and every page on the site is information and analytics only — never personalised advice. For the full picture, see our compliance page.

How we decide what to build.
Public weights, not black boxes
Every number you see on NiveshLens is derived from a published formula. If the methodology page can't explain it, it doesn't ship.
Users pay, not AMCs
We don't take distribution commissions, we don't sell leads, we don't surface 'sponsored' funds. Your subscription is our entire revenue.
Data over dashboards
A great analytics tool helps you understand your funds with data — past returns, peer rankings, look-through holdings. We obsess over clarity, not the prettiness of a portfolio chart.
Built by one person, in the open.
NiveshLens is a solo, self-funded project — no VC pushing growth-at-all-costs, no AMC on the cap table. That’s the whole point: your subscription is the only revenue, so the incentives stay pointed at you, not at whoever pays the biggest commission. The data is public; the analytics are transparent; the methodology is written down so you can audit it.
